6月7日より新たな展示を公開
新たな展示も6月7日(日)から公開される。

サニタス・プラディッタスニー氏の「ザ・サウンド・オブ・ナオシマ」は、周囲の自然に溶け込むかのように屋外に設置される。
岡﨑乾二郎氏《The hunger of the mind is easier to satisfy than that of the body. As you wander th streets, you are surrounded by buildings̶ modest yet appealing from the outside, and adequately furnished within. You may encounter polite, well-dressed individuals who tactfully avert their gaze. The sound of rain blended with their splashing, and a long-drawn sigh seemed to float above the overturned skiff̶ the endless, labouring sigh of earth. Embracing her knees with hands, resting chin upon them, on the pale patch of her face they seemed immense, because of blue marks below them. The rain fell in thin, cold threads, each drop tracing its path down my skin. Her breath, warm and alive, brushed my cheek. 岡﨑乾二郎氏「端しき、ことの葉」展も開催。1990年代より継続的に直島で展示を行ってきた作家の、近年の最新作を含むベネッセアートサイト直島所蔵の作品群を中心に構成する。
また、下道基行氏の「瀬戸内『 』資料館」プロジェクトのサテライト展示も開催する。1930年代から2000年代初頭にかけて瀬戸内を撮影した岡山の写真家・緑川洋一氏による、直島の製錬所で働く人々の逞しい姿を記録した、1950年代の写真群を紹介する。
冬の新展示予定も発表
今津景氏、バグース・パンデガ氏
さらに、冬の新展示として、今津景氏+バグース・パンデガ氏の「Currents without Anchors(錨なき流れ)」展も予定されている。

同展示では、海をめぐる資源の移動、欲望の拡張、そしてそれにともなう災害と記憶を、「流れ(current)」「浄化と保存」「破壊と再生」といった概念を通して可視化を試みる。日程については、確定次第発表がある。また、展示アーティストは変更になる場合がある。
なお、N・S・ハルシャ氏、マルタ・アティエンサ氏、ヘリ・ドノ、ヘリ・ドノ氏＆インディゲリラ氏、パナパン・ヨドマニー氏、ソ・ドホ氏、村上隆氏、会田誠氏、蔡國強の展示は、冬の展示替えまで継続展示が行われる。
この場所でしか出会えない新たな展示を、五感でじっくりと楽しんでみてはいかがだろうか。
